Private Developments

Under the guidance of O'Hare & McGovern Ltd, we can direct and co-ordinate the planning and design process from site analysis, master planning, design team selection and review; endeavouring to ensure that each project will be designed and developed for a unique set of site and market conditions.

For the £120m 'Laganbank' project developed around the £30m 'Belfast Waterfront Hall', O'Hare & McGovern Limited was the catalyst in bringing together the successful international team to transform this neglected downtown waterfront area into a centrepiece of commercial and leisure development.

Public Finance Initiative (PFI) / Public Private Partnership (PPP)

As one of the major contractors in Northern Ireland, O'Hare & McGovern have taken a leading role in Public Private Partnerships. As Equity and sub-ordinated debt provider and contractor to Belfast Educational Services Limited, O'Hare & McGovern have and are at present delivering a much needed portfolio of education facilities to a range of eductaion boards linked to DENI and the CCMS.

The first was in the form of a 1000 pupil school in Belfast. The construction of St Genevieves High School (below) has been completed and service delivery was achieved late February 2002.

Other education PPP's that we currently have in hand are:

East Tyrone College - £17.5m. Phased construction due to complete in July 2006 and service delivery on Phase 1 was achieved in November 2004 and Phase 2 is due in August 2005.

Omagh College - £17.5m. In construction with completion and service delivery scheduled for October 2006.

Holy Cross College, Strabane, as preferred bidder, we have just received Planning Consent for an 18,000 pupil school with Financial Close scheduled for late August 2005.
