Project Overview

This project comprised the construction of a new modern, four storey hotel, catering for up to 60 residents.  The 13,000m² hotel was completed to the highest standard with 30 bedrooms including 27 deluxe rooms and 3 spacious family rooms, along with a restaurant catering for up to 45 people.

The building was built on pad foundations, with a steel portal frame to the ground and first floors. Traditional block walling were installed to all upper levels, with supported metal deck and reinforced concrete floors, steel purlins and ring beam at wall plate level.

The external façade was then installed using a render finish with engineering brick feature panels. To complete the construction OHMG employed a mix of UPVC and aluminium windows along with aluminium clad roof with gutters and downpipes.

The hotel was built on time, in budget and to the client’s satisfaction with the ground floor housing a reception area, the Lake View restaurant, a bar, a kitchen and staff quarters. The public toilets and lift access were also located on the ground floor of the building, whilst the remaining three floors of the hotel accommodates10 bedrooms per level.

The modern building contained many other features including CCTV, smoke detectors, fire alarms, ramps for disabled access and air conditioning in the restaurant area.

OHMG also provided associated external site works such as parking, paved pedestrian areas and some soft landscaping, which includes planters and a side garden.
